Renowned for her The Memoirs of Lady Trent series, Brennan returns withTurning Darkness Into Light, a novel that offers a new perspective of the world she built in the previous series.

Turning Darkness Into Light follows Lady Trent’s granddaughter, Audrey Camherst, who wishes to become a scholar like her grandmother. And when Audrey is asked to decipher ancient tablets recovered from the Draconean civilization, she unexpectedly uncovers conspiracies calling for rebellion and war.

But Audrey will need to find proof of these conspiracies if she’s to prevent them from coming to fruition. And with that goal in mind, she sets out to find evidence with her friends.

Anyone who enjoys a Victorian-style setting and unraveling mysteries — and of course, fans of Brennan’s other novels — should make a point of picking up Turning Darkness Into Light. It officially comes out on August 20.
