Young Justice: Outsiders episode 21 live stream: Watch online

Victor Stone is recovery, Halo is still attempting to mend their relationship, so what could go wrong on this week’s Young Justice: Outsiders episode?

After last week’s tense scenario, the Outsiders won’t get a break during this week’s Young Justice episode. While we hope Halo and Brion will reconcile and that Victor is recovering well, the synopsis for this week has us thinking about the acrostic message in the 26-episode titles this season. That’s right: We think Darkseid is on the horizon.

According to Warner Bros. Television Division’s synopsis for “Unknown Factors,” the titular team faces an even more perilous threat this week. As per usual, this week’s synopsis is simple and brief:

"Dick Grayson and Jefferson go after Gretchen Goode (DEBORAH STRANG) – only to encounter the ominous Overlord."

We wonder who the “ominous Overlord” could be. Judging by the coded titles throughout this season and the running New God tech and plot, it would seem strange if this Overlord this week didn’t turn out to be Darkseid.

However, Dick and Jefferson’s ambitious attack on Gretchen Goode has us worried. After all, Gretchen is involved in the Darkseid’s plot and she’s been controlling multiple metahumans across the globe. So, consider us very worried about their well being this week.

Their covert mission is dangerous, especially considering the mysterious (but likely) big bad this week. However, that doesn’t mean we won’t get some sparingly wholesome moments with the team. After all, we can’t have a Young Justice episode without some tragic and heartwarming stories.

Even though the synopsis doesn’t namedrop Darkseid specifically, it seems like his appearance is on the not-so-distance horizon. If the menacing Overlord does show his face this week, perhaps we can look forward to even more revelations. And hopefully, those hypothetical revelations include Dr. Jace’s plot and lying revolving Halo’s permanent death (because we’re really tired of seeing Halo dying or in distress).
