The Scamander brothers and their relationship in Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald
Newt Scamander and his brother have had a rough go of it but in Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, we got to see how these two have grown as brothers.
It’s easy to love Newt and Theseus Scamander in Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald. The two brothers had a hard relationship understanding one another and now that the two of them are seemingly thrown into this war together, they can start to mend the relationship that Newt had labeled as fragile.
Both Newt and Theseus had their issues. With each other and within their own lives, the two struggled to connect but now that they need one another to fight back against Grindelwald, they can begin to understand what happened to their relationship and how they can grow as brothers.
It helps that they both suffered a loss in regards to Leta. When she sacrificed herself, they both lost a friend and loved one and now Newt can be there for Theseus and help him grow from what happened on that fated night. It is nice to see Newt’s family in the series too. In Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, he seemed so alone, lost with his creatures. But now, he has a brother, a found family, and he’s working with Dumbledore to try and stop Grindelwald and it is beautiful to see how he has grown as a character.
What is going to happen in Fantastic Beasts 3? We’ll have to wait and see how they grow his character and Theseus’s character but it is going to be interesting!
