Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald and Queenie’s betrayal
Many characters turned on their love ones in Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald but there is something even more significant about Queenie’s betrayal against Tina.
Queenie Goldstein followed after Grindelwald at the end of Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald and left her sister behind. They had been struggling throughout the film and Tina was trying to find her because Queenie was very rarely allowed to do anything on her own.
Sure, I understand her struggle because she is the kind of character who was constantly told no, that she couldn’t do it. So when she met Jacob, she wanted to keep him close to her and went about doing so in the worst possible way. But that doesn’t mean that she was completely wrong in everything she did.
Now though, after following after Grindelwald, what is Queenie’s betrayal going to do to the rest of their friends. Jacob and Tina watched as she crossed on to join him, believing Grindelwald when he said he could help her live in a world where she could be free to be with Jacob. But will Jacob be there for her when she realized that Grindelwald was lying? Or will she be too consumed with his false promises to see the truth behind him?
It’ll be interesting to see how Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them 3 tackle the relationships ruined by the end of The Crimes of Grindelwald but hopefully Tina and Queenie can fix their relationship with each other.
