Maybe This Time – Kasie West

Readers looking for a young adult story with lighter themes than Wilder Girls and The Storm Crow can find that in Kasie West’s Maybe This TimeKnown for her sweet contemporary romances, West is back with a rom-com that proves that love can be found in the most unexpected places.

Maybe This Time follows Sophie Evans, a local florist who is on the lookout for love. Arranging flowers and handling small-town drama is just a normal part of Sophie’s job, since it leads her to almost every event in her community. This year, she has nine affairs to attend, ranging from weddings to barbecues to New Year’s Eve parties. For Sophie, that means something else: She has nine chances to find the one.

And finding love is made that much easier when Andrew Hart, the son of the new chef in town, enters the fray. Andrew’s forced to show up at all the same events as Sophie, bringing food with him instead of flowers. As the two connect with one another over the course of a year, they realize their relationship might go beyond the professional.

Fans of fun and fluffy romances will appreciate Maybe This Time, especially if they need a mood booster after reading the other, darker novels coming out in July. West’s new release comes out on July 9, and it’s just the book to put a smile on your face.
