Daisy Ridley dishes about The Rise of Skywalker and her final day on set

Daisy Ridley, aka Rey in the Star Wars universe, spoke on Good Morning America about expectations for The Rise of Skywalker and her final day on set.

Daisy Ridley joined the team on Good Morning America this week to promote her latest film, Ophelia. But of course, she couldn’t stop by without talking a bit about Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, which comes out on December 20th.

If you weren’t already excited for this film, Ridley’s words should have you buzzing.

“A lot of the crew did all three films so it was really emotional anyway,” the 27-year-old actress explained. “But there were a few scenes that we did where everyone was really moved… A lot of it is really moving.”

Ridley admitted she hasn’t seen a final cut of the film yet, but she has seen some bits. She said it’s the most excited she’s been so far. “I think it’s a brilliant end to the story,” she added. “J.J. and Chris have done an incredible job of wrapping it up… I think people are going to feel very satisfied.”

Ridley also spoke about the final day of filming, which she said was incredibly emotional. “John wrapped, so I was already like hysterically crying,” she explained. “And then I wrapped. And I did a speech and I cannot remember what I said.”

“The whole crew was there. It was like embarrassing,” she said. “And obviously, people recorded it. I still can’t tell you what I said.”

The current Star Wars trilogy, which kicked off with The Force Awakens in 2015, will finish with The Rise of Skywalker later this year. When asked about whether Rey might make any further appearances, Daisy Ridley would not say.

“I mean, who can tell?” she said with a sly smile.
