It’s hard to believe that we’re already talking about Halloween and we are barely half way through the year! But at Walt Disney World Halloween always starts early, and this year it’s earlier than ever.

The very first guests will enjoy Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party on Friday, August 16. This separately ticketed event is one of the most anticipated events of the year by Disney fans of all ages, and now this year there’s more new fun and excitement for the party.

This year there are two big events that are new for the party, along with returning favorites like Mickey’s Boo To You Halloween Parade! But for those of you who have already been to Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party and looking for something fresh you might want to check out the brand new Cruella’s Halloween Hide-a-Way at Tony’s Town Square Restaurant.

The classic Main Street U.S.A. restaurant will be transformed into a delightfully sinister party celebrating one of Disney’s most iconic baddies, Cruella De Vil. The party starts at 9:30 p.m., meaning there’s still plenty of time to enjoy the rest of Magic Kingdom before having to head to Tony’s. The experience will allow guests to pop in and out as they want to eat and drink as much as they care to enjoy.

Some of the options available are creamy spinach dip with ciabatta crostini, assorted Halloween flatbreads and more. If you’re wanting something sweet you can try chocolate-dipped strawberries, cheesecake and mini cannoli, Kanine Krunchy cake and Mini De Vil brownies. Alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks will also be available.

If you’re planning on hanging out at Cruella’s Halloween Hide-a-Way, you’ll also have a special reserved viewing area for Mickey’s Boo-To-You Halloween Parade at 11:15 right on Main Street U.S.A. Tony’s will be open to guests until 12:30 a.m., even though Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party technically ends at midnight. This is a separate ticket outside of the ticket to get into Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party and is subject to availability.

For those of you who have been going to the Halloween party for many years, you will know about HalloWishes, the fireworks spectacular that’s been a fan-favorite for years. For the 2019 party, Disney is debuting a brand new fireworks spectacular. The name has not yet been announced as of publication, but we do know a bit about the show!

The new show is going to feature state-of-the-art projection effects, lasers, lighting and fireworks. So we’re thinking it might be a Halloween version, tech speaking,  of the regular nighttime fireworks spectacular Happily Ever After.

The story of the show is how anything can happen on Halloween night. According to Disney, “Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Goofy find themselves drawn into a mysterious haunted house. The journey takes them from one room of the house to another, encountering dancing skeletons, waltzing ghosts, and a whole series of troublemaking Disney villains.” If the show is similar to Happily Ever After the best place to watch is going to be right in front of Cinderella Castle near the hub, or anywhere along Main Street U.S.A.

Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party is sure to be a swinging good time, especially with these new additions! We’re already planning our costumes and cannot wait to show them off at this year’s event!
