Americans and the Harry Potter series: What if we had American actors in the series?
Growing up a fan of Harry Potter in America was interesting because we never thought we had a chance to be in the series. But with Fantastic Beasts, there is hope! Well, sort of.
Looking at the Harry Potter series, it is obvious that, as Americans, we were not a high priority. Which, fair. It is a series we can love from afar and appreciate. But then, something amazing happened. That amazing? Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. The series, which starts in New York City, was our hope to join the world we so desperately longed to be in.
And then some American roles went to Colin Farrell and so on and so forth and our hope dwindled. But with that came the knowledge that maybe we could still have a chance in this series. I remember being a kid and loving the idea of playing Romilda Vane when I got older. Granted, the movies diminished her character to basically nothing but still, that dream was there
So, do we have a chance, ever, at being a movie in the Harry Potter series? I say yes because we can very easily be in these Fantastic Beasts movies. That is if we’re famous and talented and well connected but you get the idea.
There are so many things out there in the world for fans of the Harry Potter series and hopefully, it never stops. Hopefully, we always have something coming up or something to look forward to because that’s what makes this series so special.
