Harry Potter fans brave the storm for 10 hours to ride new roller coaster

Fans of Harry Potter have a new roller coaster to ride and they have gotten so excited that they are willing to wait 10 hours to try it; no matter what the weather brings.

It’s here! It is finally here! The new Harry Potter roller coaster ride is officially open and fans have com from far and wide to try it out at Universal Orlando Resort.

Thew new ride, called Hagrid’s Magician Creatures Motorbike Adventure, is something we have been discussing here at Wizards and Whatnot for sometime now. As of last Thursday however, the talking was finally over as the ride had officially opened.

And to say Harry Potter fans where excited about the new ride is a gross understatement.

From the moment the park officially opened it’s doors; a steady stream of fans lined up to experience the magical ride for themselves. Within half an hour of the park being open, the line had grown so long that the average wait time was 10 hours.

That’s right! 10 hours to ride one single roller coaster.

Now, if you had planned to ride nothing else but Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure then you wouldn’t be too fussed about the long wait time. You could come prepared with one or two of the Wizarding World books to read.

And, if it is a nice day. You might catch a tan.

Thing is, it wasn’t. Come the afternoon, around 2 p.m., it had begun to rain. Did this turn away fans? No, of course it didn’t. The wait time was no longer around the 10 hour mark, but it is was still pretty high at 5 hours.

The rain didn’t make anyone leave though. Fans stayed in line to experience the thrill of the ride. A ride which is unlike any other.

Reported to be the longest roller coaster ride in Florida, it has a drop of over 17 feet and it doesn’t just have one launch, but seven. It lasts for around 3 minutes and during the ride you get to witness magical creatures from the franchise, including magical creatures never seen before on screen.

Despite the extremely long wait and poor weather conditions, fans have enjoyed their experience. So if you haven’t made it there yourself yet, you should consider it. I would just bring a fold away chair or something to get comfy.
