Hermione Granger is the best kind of hero for young girls to look to
It may be because she was one of the few characters we had growing up but looking up to Hermione Granger was a wonderful perk of loving the Harry Potter series.
Hermione Granger has always been great. We’ve looked up to her because she’s someone we can relate to and remember when we’re feeling down about ourselves. That being said, it is important to examine why she is an important character in the first place.
Hermione Jane Granger came into our lives and made it very clear that she is a woman who knew what she wanted and was going to go for it. And, in doing so, didn’t change who she was in the process. It was a wonderful thing to see and taught all of us that we didn’t have to change our lives and our beliefs to fit into the ‘idea’ of what a woman should be like.
Maybe that’s what is so exciting about Hermione. She never conformed to an idea of what she should be. Which made many of us feel the same way. We didn’t want to conform because Hermione never had to.
A woman is naturally strong and changing who she is and her desires to fit into the ideas of a man isn’t a great lesson so to see Hermione stand true to herself and her beliefs was a perfect thing for kids to grow up with. So that’s why Hermione is the best kind of hero. Not because she’s smart and helps the boys but because she never stepped down.
