What the Harry Potter series taught us about honoring our education

Harry Potter may not have been the best student when he was at Hogwarts but that doesn’t mean we didn’t learn how to be the best students we can be from the series.

When it comes to Harry Potter, he wasn’t the best at his school work. If anything, the only reason he got out of Hogwarts alive was because of Hermione. But still, the series instilled in us a sense of pride in our intelligence and how education. We wanted to learn and be involved because that’s what Harry and his friends did.

Maybe it is because we dreamed of going to Hogwarts one day and saw how each of these characters loved their school work and what they were learning or maybe it is just because we all liked to read but there is something beautiful about the way the Harry Potter generation clung to education.

Again, the series wasn’t the best at teaching us to study in our classes. Harry barely did the work he was supposed to do. But it did teach us that we needed to learn in order to follow our dreams and do what was right for the world so many of us went on to look up to characters in the series who did value their education because we knew we had to do that as well.

Did Harry ever go back and finish his last year at Hogwarts? Probably not but that doesn’t diminish what the series taught us about school as a whole.

Next. Sirius Black deserves more than just being a ‘father figure’ to Harry Potter. dark
