Is 2019 the year of Keanu Reeves? All signs point to yes!

We’re halfway through the year, and I think it’s safe to say that 2019 has been the year of Keanu. I, for one, welcome this.

Yesterday at E3 during the Microsoft presentation, audiences across the globe lost their collective minds when Keanu Reeves came out to present Cyberpunk 2077 — probably one of the most anticipated video games at the moment — largely because of Reeves’s cameo in the game.

As Reeves took the stage, one person at the presentation was kind enough to shout out what we were all thinking, and that was “You’re breathtaking.”

If you haven’t seen his entrance, you must watch it — like right now, watch it.

Okay, good? As you can see, it is such an epic entrance and the audience’s excitement can be felt even if you’re watching from the smallest of mobile screens.

The game itself boasts some beautiful visuals in an engrossing trailer, and but of course, Reeves looks amazing in the game. This is great, because he didn’t always look so great in video games of yesteryear (I’m looking at you, anything based on The Matrix films).

2019 has been a great year for everyone’s favorite human being.

John Wick 3 is out now in theaters, and it concludes one of the best film trilogies in years. Toy Story 4 is set to hit theaters June 20, with Reeves lending his voice for the new character Duke Caboom. Always Be My Maybe was released recently as well, and Keanu Reeves — and his magical thumbs — is in this film as well. On top of that, we’re getting a new Bill and Ted movie next year.

So yes, this is 100 percent the year of Keanu Reeves, and you can’t convince me otherwise. I hope all of this fanfare and adoration helps him know that he is a beloved icon.
