Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit

If you’re up for a dance party while you cruise on a high-speed roller coaster, Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit is definitely for you! Even walking into Universal Studios, you can see the massive attraction from CityWalk, and as you go from the parking decks to security.

The attraction allows you to choose a song from various genres to listen to while you ride. We love listening to “Stronger” by Kanye West during our rides, but there’s something for every music-lover to jam out to. The queue for the attraction doesn’t have a specific storyline, but we don’t mind that since the ride is so fun! You start off going straight up at 90 degrees through a tunnel before shooting off through the rest of the coaster reaching speeds of 65 miles per hour.

Before getting on the ride, you’re going to need to store all of your belongings in the free lockers near the entrance of the attraction. We’ve seen people lose things from cell phones to hats and glasses on this ride. So if you want to keep things, those lockers are a good idea.

There are some pretty significant drops, turns and twists on this ride, so if that’s not something you’re into, you might want to skip Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit. You can get a good look at the attraction and what happens on it from just outside the Universal Studios gates, and just past Race Through New York With Jimmy Fallon. Guests who don’t reach the height requirement of 51 inches cannot ride. The attraction does offer rider swap.
