Style Diaries: How to dress like Mindy Kaling

From The Office to the Mindy Project, Mindy Kaling has made a name for herself as a comedic presence on our screens. And now she is our fashion inspiration.

Since watching her on The Office as Kelly Kapoor, Mindy Kaling has been a fixture of my viewing habits. No matter what she is in, she brings the humor and energy that I love, while also giving me plenty of fashionable inspiration. Even in A Wrinkle in Time, Kaling inspired me to want to dress up in the best ways possible.

And while she may not always rock a red carpet gown or a fantastical creation, that doesn’t mean we don’t love all of her more casual looks as well. In fact, it is always so nice to see Mindy Kaling doing press related things and other outings wearing pieces that any woman can rock with ease.

Perhaps what makes the actress a style icon is the fact that she embraces her own curves and never seems to hide what others might perceive as flaws. And it is her willingness to seem fearless in her decisions that makes me want to take inspiration from her.

While there is certainly more to Mindy Kaling than just her sense of style, for the Style Diaries we are all about embracing all looks, including those fun, casual outfits. And thanks to the actress, we have a lot to choose from when it comes to finding some amazing pieces to give our wardrobe a bit of a revamp.
