The world of music within Harry Potter fans and within the series itself
Music surrounds Harry Potter in a lot of different ways. Whether it is through the actual series or from what the series inspires fans to write, we can’t get enough!
Harry Potter has music within the series, a score, and music inspired by the stories told by J.K. Rowling. Needless to say, Potter fans always have something to listen to! Whether it is jamming out to “Do the Hippogriff” or singing along as Hermione belts “The Coolest Girl” from A Very Potter Musical, we have a lot of things to enjoy as fans.
It still is interesting to look at the series and see what we’ve both created and what we’ve made popular from it. Thinking that Hedwig’s Theme would bring the emotional reaction it still does to fans after all these years is fun to look at now but there is no way that, at the time, anyone knew how much we’d all cling to the score and things surrounding this series.
Maybe it is because we just all love all things Potter but it is a beautiful aspect of this series. Sure, some things might not be the best and we might fight over things still, but within that comes beautiful creations from fans and things we can all cherish together.
Harry Potter exists because of J.K. Rowling’s brilliant brain but we continue to let it thrive and grow because we, as fans, want to celebrate what the series means to us. We want to keep the idea of Harry Potter alive and whether that is in music or fanfic and everything in between is beautiful.
