June is Pride Month, so it’s time to fill your playlists with some amazing LGBTQIA+ artists to start off your pride season right!

Whenever June rolls around, it’s like a switch is flipped and everything is technicolor. The weather is finally getting better, work almost feels more tolerable because the daylight lasts longer, and best of all, it’s pride season, so members of the LGBTQIA+ community are ready to be loud and proud.

For those who don’t know, June is considered Pride Month to honor the anniversary of the Stonewall Riots, a series of demonstrations against the police by queer people in 1969 at the Stonewall Inn in New York City.

With the 50th anniversary of the event looming, there’s no better time to go out and celebrate, and why not do so by embracing the queer artists who are blazing a trail for other young performers to come out and be proud of who they are?

There are artists you may know, like Troye Sivan and Janelle Monae, while others you may be discovering for the first time, like Slayyyter and Dorian Electra, but no matter what, these artists are all proud to be members of the LGBTQIA+ community, and they have songs that will fit perfectly into your Pride playlist.
