Okay but when is Darren Criss going to star in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child?
Darren Criss has a track record of playing Harry Potter or Daniel Radcliffe roles in different ways so why not have him take on Harry in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child?
Remember when Darren Criss played Harry Potter and then went on Broadway to take on a role after Daniel Radcliffe? So why wouldn’t it be nice to see Darren Criss starring as Harry Potter in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child?
Now that Jamie Parker has left the role, we’re in the era of new casts taking over and, eventually, as is the way with Broadway, we’ll probably see stunt casting. Sure, many of us would love for Daniel Radcliffe and the original trio to take on the roles but seeing Darren Criss continue his trend would be a fun turn of events too!
The thing about Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is that many of us go to the show without caring about the cast. We’re here for the story and the characters we grew up with and that’s it. So if stunt casting did become a thing, why not give us the Harry Potter jokes of old? Sure, again, Daniel Radcliffe would be fun but it would probably make more sense if Darren Criss did it. What fun!
Still, we probably have some years before we’ll see anyone famous take on Harry Potter again but it would be fun to see some of our old favorites in the shoes of the Boy Who Lived once more.
