Twilight Zone Tower of Terror

Staying at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, for those seeking one of the best thrill attractions at Walt Disney World, look no further than the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. This is one of the first rides guests will see entering the park, and you can even see it from the parking lot of the park.

When guests enter the queue for the attraction they are instantly transported to Hollywood in 1939. With mist and overgrown plants, the story begins with you entering the hotel to check in, though no one has been there for decades. The inside of the lobby is filled with dust and cobwebs that bring a sense that something isn’t quite right.

Once inside the pre-show room, you are told a story of a group of people who disappeared into the Twilight Zone on a stormy night long ago. Then you’ll head into the boiler room where your service elevator awaits your arrival. One of the best things about the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror is that the cast members who work the attraction are all in character bringing an even better story and sense of foreboding to the ride.

After you get all buckled into your elevator seat, be prepared for a thrilling 13-story drop that will literally raise you out of your seat. The attraction has multiple variations of drops, so each time you ride, it could be different for even more thrills.

This attraction is great for older kids and people looking for high-level thrills. If you have younger kids, they might not enjoy this one, so be sure to utilize Disney’s Rider Switch service so everyone who wants to ride gets the chance to.
