Splash Mountain

Splash Mountain is one of Magic Kingdom Park’s best attractions, from the story to the amount of time guests spend on the ride, it really is a must-do. Guests enter the queue and begin to see signs that they may get wet with the lovable Br’er Rabbit, Br’er Fox and Br’er Bear on them. As you get closer to the loading area of the attraction, those signs get to be more and more prominent.

The classic log flume attraction takes guests through to the laughing place filled with lovable critters like frogs and turtles, until the five-story drop into the briar patch. For those who don’t want to get wet, be sure to grab a disposable poncho and bring it on the ride with you, or sit near the back of the ride car. Also, try not to sit on the far right of the car since there is a pesky waterfall near the end of the ride that can get you pretty wet. After the big drop, you’ll see all of the briar patch friends singing the classic Disney song “Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah,” and we’re sure your whole boat will start singing along too.

Splash Mountain can have a very long line, especially in the warmer months when a nice water ride is just what you need to cool off. Be sure to grab a FastPass+ reservation for this attraction, or ride later in the evening when guests are starting to line up for Happily Ever After for a minimal wait.
