Harry, Ron, and Hermione had their roles perfectly explained by the ending of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, especially in with the end mission they have to complete.

Harry Potter is the kind of character who will do things on his own but kind of needs some help to finish things with his friends. So, with Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, we were given a really good look at what each of these characters were going to represent in the future of the series.

By the end of the book, Harry finds himself searching for the Sorcerer’s Stone with Ron and Hermione and they all find themselves using their abilities to get through the challenges. First, Hermione has to use her intelligence to get them through the first moment, concentrating on her knowledge to get them out of the Devil’s snare.

Then, Harry has to be able to fly to get the key before Ron shows them his chess talents. Sure, it was all leading to Harry being able to take on Quirrel and Voldemort himself but he still needed Ron and Hermione to get him there in the first place.

They worked as a team from the very beginning and seeing as these friends always were there for each other was one of the joys of being a fan of the Harry Potter series. We knew that, no matter what, Harry would have his friends to rely on.
