Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure is coming to Universal Orlando Resort in June. What can fans experience during the ride?

On June 13, the highly-anticipated Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure opens at Universal Orlando Resort. It’s a chance to delve further into the world of Harry Potter, experienced in a way you’ve never done before. Footage has now been revealed to show what thrill-seekers can expect.

Fans will be taken through the Forbidden Forest, searching for the Wizarding World’s rarest of magical creatures. You’ll do it in the sidecar with Hagrid by your side, exploring some of the darkest adventures Harry managed.

At one point, there’s a 17-foot drop. This is the first U.S. roller coaster to include this free-fall vertical drop, which is completely unexpected even when you know it’s going to be included. It certainly isn’t for the faint-hearted.

At another point, you’re taken 65 feet into the air on a 70-degree angle and then suddenly plummeted backward into the unknown. And if that isn’t enough to get you on the ride, it’s the longest roller coaster in Florida, taking you on a 5,053-footlong journey.

Along Hagrid’s Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure at Universal Orlando Resort, you’ll also get to go into the world of abandoned ruins behind Hagrid’s hut. Stuart Craig and Alan Gilmore from the Harry Potter movies have worked with Universal to bring the beautifully-eerie ruins to life. These ruins are where students and guests will learn all about the Care of Magical Creatures.

And yes, there will be materials from the classes included within the ride. You’ll see the dragon eggs that are close to hatching, a makeshift nursery, spellbooks, and so much more. This is a chance to literally plunge into the world of Harry Potter.
