Sirius Black: The sad truth behind him as a character and the life he led
Sirius Black is the kind of character who is tragic when you start to break him down. He doesn’t get to really live his full life and then he dies before he can explore his life and it’s sad.
The Harry Potter series has a lot of characters for us to love. That’s why so many of us have our own special one and, for me, it has always been Sirius Black. He’s the kind of character who struggled for so many years and then ended up losing his life to protect Harry.
When you think about it, Sirius Black almost suffered more than Harry ever did. He lost his best friends, his family hated him, he went to jail for years for a crime he didn’t commit, and then he died without being a free man.
It is a pretty rough life but Sirius, surprisingly, never complained. He was just there for Harry when he needed him and did what had to be done. Maybe it is because he was trying to make up for his family’s name or maybe he was just that kind of character, but Sirius Black was always open to whatever he needed to do in order to be the best version of himself.
Which is why, I think, I love him so much. That is the kind of character that had justifiable angry and yet he didn’t use that anger to fuel him. He let it go, focused on the good in his life and tried to be the best he could be.
