Game of Thrones finale: Fans react to *that* moment between Jon and Daenerys

After the penultimate episode of Game of Thrones saw Daenerys burn King’s Landing to the ground, how did fans react to that moment between her and Jon Snow?

Warning: This story contains spoilers for the final episode of Game of Thrones.

We often joke that Jon Snow knows nothing, and this season, fans have called him a high-paid extra. But in the series finale of Game of Thrones, it was finally time for the man who would be king to step up and do the right thing. Even from the very beginning, it felt inevitable that we would see a true confrontation between Daenerys Targaryen and Jon Snow.

With Jon telling Dany that she would always be his queen and giving her a final kiss, it was almost satisfying to see him finally step up and do the right thing. Even as tears fell from his eyes, he did the one thing he needed to do and stabbed Daenerys, ending her short reign as the queen of the Seven Kingdoms.

On social media, fans were quick to react with many tweets giving Jon Snow a lot of credit for his actions.

It was also nice to see people making it clear that they were always rooting for Jon Snow from the very beginning. Sometimes it has felt like there has been no faith put into Jon, and so he has lived up to that lack of support. This time, he did what needed to be done, and what that so many people were hoping he would do.

And it wasn’t just excitement over Jon Snow that people were sharing on Twitter. They were also making it clear that this was a long time coming and they knew what was coming from the very moment the episode began.

It was also funny to see people playing off the infamous line about Jon Snow not having a clue. Because honestly, haven’t we all felt this way over the last eight seasons.

Honestly, the reactions on Twitter were exactly what I wanted to see and what I expected to see from Game of Thrones fans. It was exciting to see people expecting Jon Snow to take care of business and him actually living up to those expectations.
