16. “No More Dream”

Why not start off with the music video that started it all? Their videos have come such a long way that it pales in comparison to some of their masterpieces, but everyone has to start somewhere. Besides, we couldn’t possibly talk about BTS videos and not include “No More Dream.”

The video starts with the boys pulling up in a school bus, crashing into a pile of boxes on the way to make an extra dramatic entrance. They all file out of the bus for a role call for their official introduction to the world before the video really gets started. For the rest of the clip, the boys are dancing in an empty skate park and mean mugging in their tricked-out school bus.

Most of the video takes place in these two locations, no special effects, no storylines. BTS have blown up in the last couple years so they have the budgets to make huge productions now, but back in 2013, they were the new kids on the block.

Lots of members of the ARMY like to poke fun at “No More Dream” because of how simple it is, but it’s all done with love of course. It’s adorable to see how young they all look — and the clothes! What even are those sunglasses RM is wearing?!

Even all those years ago, though, the boys definitely knew how to move. As they do with a lot of their videos, they also released a dance version that focuses entirely on their group choreography, which looks even more impressive without all the cuts!
