Betty’s (mostly) figured out what’s happening at The Farm, and Jughead thinks he knows who the Gargoyle King is. All that’s left is to defeat the various and sundry evils, including the Black Hood 3.0, and we can cruise out of season 3 with neat, tidy ending.

Ha. Yeah, right.

That’s not really now Riverdale does things, and I suspect will have plenty of questions after tonight’s finale. It’s a big deal, and Riverdale showrunner, Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa has been pimping “Chapter Fifty-Seven: Survive the Night” pretty heavily on Twitter. 

This week’s trailer offers a little taste of the finale, coasting on last week’s big reveals. Jason Blossom is the Gargoyle King, The Farm runs a black market organ distribution business, Hiram Lodge is in jail after a very questionable boxing match with a minor, and Hal is officially out and proud about being the Black Hood.

Molly Ringwald is still around as Archie’s mother, but there is still no word, yet, about how the writers plan to sort out Fred’s absence. This better get it’s due in the season finale because fans will need this closure.
