The new trailer for Maleficent: Mistress of Evil was released and fans can’t help but react to Angelina Jolie’s new look.

During ABC’s premiere of The Bachelorette on Monday, the teaser trailer for Maleficent: Mistress of Evil officially dropped. As always when it comes to trailers for a new film, especially when it comes to Disney’s long-anticipated live-action ones, fans are sharing their thoughts on social media.

In addition to both Angelina Jolie (Maleficent) and Elle Fanning (Princess Aurora), who both starred in the first Maleficent, Michelle Pfeiffer is also making her debut as Queen Ingrith in the sequel.

Thankfully, you can even watch a brief interaction between Jolie and Pfeiffer’s characters going toe-to-toe. What’s better than these two playing fierce characters alongside one another?

According to the movie’s synopsis on YouTube, the Maleficent sequel will take place a few years after the first movie. Despite everything that played out in the 2014 movie, it looks like Disney is setting her up to be the true villain that we had always known her to be — hence the subtitle for the film, The Mistress of Evil.

But character development aside, there was one thing fans were all talking about on social media: they couldn’t get past Jolie’s new look as Maleficent, which is revealed quickly at the end of the trailer. There’s no denying she looks more powerful than ever.

And, yes, she even looks “hawt.” Jolie is totally doing what she does best — slaying.

She’s basically a piece of art, who is perfect in the role.

She deserves all of the respect, too.

And finally, let’s all just agree that Jolie looks beyond fabulous.

Is there really anyone better than Jolie as Maleficent? She truly is perfect as the Disney “villain.”
