Game of Thrones “The Bells”: The absolute best quotes from this episode

Game of Thrones was filled with lots of emotional moments on Sunday’s episode, and with that came some seriously emotional and epic quotes.

Warning: This story contains spoilers for Game of Thrones season 8.

We hope everyone had a happy Mother’s Day, or at least a Mother’s Day that was far from what happened on Game of Thrones Sunday night.

So much went down in the second-to-last episode of the final season — and most of what we experienced through it all was just pure shock. We saw Daenerys and her army storm into King’s Landing. We were surprised that King’s Landing rang the bells not long after she arrived. But regardless, Daenerys didn’t stop after that, burning the whole city to the ground while riding Drogon.

Much of the episode was filled with fighting and battles, but there were a few good lines through it all — some shocking, and some that were surprisingly heartwarming.

And while all the following quotes deserve to be on this list: there’s one I debated adding on, but quickly changed my mind. It’s when Jaime Lannister tells Cersei in the tunnels: “Nothing else matters. Only us.” Not only was Jaime’s redemption story totally wrecked by this line, but it also undid the sweet moment he and Brienne shared in the previous episode. So Jaime, you get nothing. Nothing!
