Space Mountain at Disneyland and Magic Kingdom Park

Another two-park coaster is Space Mountain. Both versions of the attraction are found at Disneyland and Magic Kingdom Park’s Tomorrowland area, but both versions are very different from one another.

Why is this a great spot to cool down for a while? Well, a majority of the queue for both is located indoors for starters! Then you get to blast off into a thrilling journey in space as cold air rushes by you to cool you down.

Disneyland’s version of Space Mountain has a bit more outdoor space in their line, so it can take a little while longer to get into the coveted air conditioning. Disneyland’s ride vehicles are also different from Walt Disney World’s since they put two people per row instead of one person per row.

The journey on Disneyland’s Space Mountain is less thrilling and definitely more of a family coaster with less large drops and dips. The Walt Disney World version of the ride is filled with drops and sudden turns, making it more exciting.

If you can’t get a FastPass for Space Mountain, try riding it first thing in the morning or just before the park is set to close. Even during those times of day, it’s going to be pretty warm!
