IT Chapter 2 dropped its first creepy trailer with the return of the losers

The first look at IT Chapter 2 is here, and it’s as creepy as we could have hoped for. But, it’s not just Pennywise we have to watch out for.

The Losers’ Club is back together again, and that means we have our first look at IT Chapter 2. After the horror of the first movie, we already knew we needed to expect another journey into fear, and based on this first trailer for the film, we will not be disappointed.

Not only is Pennywise back in action, but it looks like there are more dead wandering the streets of Derry. As the teaser opens, we see Beverly making a stop at her old home, the apartment she grew up in. While she does not know the person living there now, it seems to be a nice older woman, who allows her a chance to come in and relive the past for a bit.

The problem with this is that this is no ordinary old woman. It does not take long for us to realize something is wrong. It looks like Pennywise may have had a child, and that child is just as ready to help take down Beverly as the clown himself was years ago.

This entire scene gives new meaning to the idea of “you can’t go home again.” Maybe the quote should be, “you shouldn’t go home again,” especially when your home was once attacked by a murdering dead clown. (But maybe that’s just me, and I am being too specific.)

When the scene changes away from Beverly’s horrific trip down memory lane, we see the rest of the losers have returned to Derry as well, and their traumatic childhood is not about to leave them alone now that they are back.

With the return of the red balloons and Pennywise, the losers are clearly going to have to stick together like they did as kids if they want a chance to get out of this town alive (again!).

Honestly, I think this teaser is just as creepy and horrific as the first movie was, which is amazing. It’s not often that a trailer for a movie makes you want to cover your eyes, but IT Chapter 2 made that happen almost immediately.

If the trailer is any indication, it looks like the second movie may end up being even more horror-filled than the first one. From Pennywise’s daughter attacking Beverly, to the clown appearing in the sewer again, and even his face melting off in his hands, there were already moments in the trailer that let us know that we are in for a creepily good time (if you like to be scared that is).
