So maybe we’re afraid of the Hagrid animatronic in the new Wizarding World ride
With all the technology that is a part of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, you’d think that the Hagrid ride would include it but the animatronic for the ride is just scary.
Never have I seen an animatronic and wanted to cry but here we are with the new Wizarding World of Harry Potter ride. The Hagrid ride is seemingly taking a step back from their completely video based rides and focusing their energy on a robot that may or may not haunt my dreams.
Maybe I’m being dramatic but, per the image that Screen Rant put out, this Hagrid doesn’t seem very happy.

Which sure, it looks like Hagrid but I’m not exactly excited to see this animatronic in real life. Hagrid is very tall and imposing but his joyous face is what made him so heartwarming as a character. I don’t necessarily know if that is going to work with a robot.
That being said, this is one ride I’m super excited about. I have gone to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter two times now and found myself crying for joy both times I was there. So maybe when you’re on the ride and having fun, you’re not even thinking about Hagrid and how you’re looking at a robot in front of you.
To be fair, the robots in Gringotts are extremely lifelike and somewhat terrifying when you realize they’re not actors. So maybe this will work out for the best. But then again, we’re not supposed to be scared of Hagrid so who knows what this ride is going to be like.
