Harry Potter and the actors who brought our favorite characters to life: Who wasn’t in the series
The fun thing about the Harry Potter series is that there are so many fun actors that bring our favorite characters to life and it’s wonderful to see who didn’t make it into the series.
It’s probably easier to say who wasn’t in the Harry Potter series rather than who was. The brilliant aspect of having a 7 book series is that you have plenty of characters to include in the movie series. With Potter, it meant that most of our favorite British stars took to the screen to bring the story to life.
And even now, that the series has ended and we’re watching the movies repeatedly, we still have hope that we’ll see some of our faves in the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them series. Imagine, if you will, Colin Firth coming into the series. Exciting, right?
That being said, there’s something very special about seeing our favorite characters come to life on the screen. Especially when it comes to certain actors in the series. For me, it was wonderful to see someone like Maggie Smith within the series bringing McGonagall to life.
We’re used to seeing them as these characters now but, during the time, it was fun to see who would be cast in the series. Plus, who wasn’t cast out of the famous British actors of the time? So many greats were a part of the Harry Potter series and getting to see them all on the screen with each new movie was fun, exciting, and makes us miss the days of new Harry Potter movies. Luckily, we still have more casting from Fantastic Beasts and can get some more faves in the series!
