Brace yourselves for more Marvel TV shows! Hulu has announced two new offerings coming soon: Marvel’s Ghost Rider and Marvel’s Helstrom.

Don’t worry, fellow Marvel TV nerds, we still have plenty of Marvel shows to look forward to.

Ever since the cancellation of the Netflix shows, fans have worried that Marvel’s TV department would diminish dramatically, even with Agents of SHIELD running for two more seasons. Then, Disney+ was announced with a slew of new shows surrounding supporting movie characters. Cool, right?

But now, Hulu’s reentering the race, announcing two new live-action Marvel series alongside their current Runaways show: Marvel’s Helstrom and Marvel’s Ghost Rider.

Both shows are expected to premiere on Hulu sometime in 2020.

Let’s start with the less familiar of the two: Helstrom. In the comics, Daimon Helstrom is the son of Satan and in his first appearance, he battles alongside Ghost Rider. (Coincidence? I think not!) In this iteration, according to Variety, it will be Daimon and his sister Ana, children of a mysterious and powerful serial killer. They have an insane dynamic while they hunt down the scum of the world.

Will their dad still be Satan? No Idea. It’s definitely a little bit of an obscure character, but Marvel has a good track record using “obscure” characters.

MARVEL’S AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. – “The Ghost” – In the season premiere episode, “The Ghost,” Ghost Rider is coming, and S.H.I.E.L.D will never be the same. “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” returns with a vengeance for the fourth exciting season in an all-new time period, TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 20 (10:00-11:00 p.m. EDT), on the ABC Television Network. GABRIEL LUNA

And what about Ghost Rider? Well, it will be the Robbie Reyes iteration—and he’ll be played by Gabriel Luna, who most recently portrayed the character on Agents of SHIELD.

The unfortunate part is that it reportedly won’t tie into the Agents of SHIELD portrayal. However… it could always be his origin story that happens before his appearance in SHIELD.

This one is incredibly exciting, as that season of Agents of SHIELD really stood out from prior seasons. Robbie Reyes was a complex, engaging character. And when he showed back up at the end, it was a glorious callback to the start of the season.

While he may not tie back to that SHIELD version, we can only anticipate good things involving this character. And since he fights alongside Daimon Helstrom in the comics, we can definitely anticipate some kind of crossover. Whether it’s a separate series or just an episode or two, we’re all for it.
