Trixie Mattel

Of course, I couldn’t forget Trixie Mattel herself! Trixie has had her ups and downs throughout her RuPaul’s Drag Race career, but now she’s the one getting the last laugh.

Trixie first appeared on the show’s seventh season, and she was a bit of a divisive queen. Her over the top Barbie-inspired makeup was a huge hit for some, and drew criticism from others, but like it or not, she has never strayed from her trademark face. She struggled in the competition, and got eliminated on episode four, but was then brought back on episode 8 after winning the Conjoined Twins challenge with Pearl. She ended up getting eliminated for good on episode 10, making her the first queen to not get eliminated the episode after being brought back.

The fans demanded more Trixie, and sure enough, she returned for All Stars 3. She won the season, but not without controversy. Many felt like Shangela was the rightful winner and that she should have at least had the chance to compete for the crown in the final lip sync battle, but her fellow competitors chose Trixie and Kennedy Davenport.

Besides UNHhhh, Trixie has gone on countless tours and has appeared in stage shows like the drag parody of Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion: Trixie and Katya’s High School Reunion. She released her debut folk album Two Birds in 2017, and her follow-up album One Stone in 2018. She’s been featured in Billboard Magazine and GQ, and even appeared as herself on American Horror Story: Roanoke.
