Tatianna

Tatianna is a queen who first appeared on one of the earlier seasons of the show who got the chance to come back and get a whole new crop of fans on All Stars. She may have been robbed, but she still proved herself and that’s what matters most.

On Tatianna’s first season of RuPaul’s Drag Race, season 2, the queen was only 21 and her drag seemed less polished than some of the other queens. That didn’t mean she wasn’t there to fight. Judges were impressed by how “fishy” she looked (meaning she looked like a biological woman), but she still found herself in the bottom two times, and only won one mini challenge and maxi challenge.

Still, she has one honor that she can boast about for years: she won the first ever Snatch Game. She portrayed Britney Spears and not only did she look like the pop star, but she nailed the accent and the mannerisms. Best of all, she made it funny!

Tatianna didn’t shy away from drama on her season, especially since queens kept looking down on her. When she came back years later for All Stars 2, she wasn’t backing down. She proved that the years of practice helped her get even better, but she found herself eliminated after a lackluster Snatch Game as Ariana Grande.

She returned in episode 5 with Alyssa Edwards after both queens slayed a lip sync to “Shut Up and Drive” by Rihanna, but then was eliminated by Alaska — again — the next episode instead of Roxxxy Andrews. Fans were outraged and the judges were shocked, because Roxxxy was struggling in the competition. It was clear Alaska did it to get rid of a competitor and keep her friend.

Thanks to All Stars, though, Tatianna got a whole new fanbase, a new catchphrase (“Choices!”), and a newfound respect from fans of the show who couldn’t believe Alaska would play her like that. Following the show, she released her first album T1, including the single “The Same Parts,” and performed live with Charli XCX in 2018.
