The Schools: How we relate to the magical schools of the Harry Potter series
From Hogwarts to Beauxbatons and more, we all wish to go to one of the magical schools in the Harry Potter series. So here’s which is the best to fans everywhere!
Hogwarts, Beauxbatons, Durmstrang, and Ilvermorny, four of the schools that we’ve learned about in the Harry Potter series and four schools for us, as fans, to choose from. For many, we instantly go to Hogwarts because, at the end of the day, it is our home. We know it is and we long to be a part of it.
But the problem now is that we have our allegiance split. Do we like the school from our home? Or do we still remain true to Hogwarts? That’s a personal choice but it is a nice thing we get to explore now that the series is branching out more.
We’re learning more about Ilvermorny in the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them series and we get to see how the American witches and wizards differ from those we’ve known for years. That being said, I don’t think there will come a time when I, personally, want to be a student there. Hogwarts is always going to be my home. Always going to be the school that I wanted to go to.
So, it is great now that we can dream of all four of these schools and see their importance and difference but, at the end of the day, Hogwarts is always going to be there to welcome us home and that’s that.
