Nearly Headless Nick has an interesting past that we don’t talk enough about
Here is the thing: Can any of us give the history of Nearly Headless Nick off the top of our heads? Probably not, it isn’t really a major part of the series, but it is extremely interesting!
Nearly Headless Nick served as a fun ghost for Gryffindor house but that was seemingly it. Right? No. In the series, he had an entire storyline and backstory that made him one of the more interesting characters. The problem is that there were just too many characters for us all to keep up with!
That isn’t a bad thing, it just shows how vast the series is. We have so many characters to look and relate to that we can’t focus our energy on just one aspect of the story. Can we think solely about the ghosts? No, because then you’re missing out on the House Elves or any of the other side creatures that we don’t get to learn that much about.
Maybe it is just because we’re in so deep in this series that we love it so much and want to know more about our favorite characters. Maybe we just want to know what’s going on in all their stories but whatever it may be, Nearly Headless Nick deserved more of a storyline than he ended up getting with the series.
Are we ever going to be able to see more of the ghosts? Maybe, that can be the next series we look at. But, until then, we can just remember our favorites.
