Shadow Weaver’s past life

By no means is Shadow Weaver a relatable villain. Beyond her perpetual thirst for power and (sort of) willingly siding with Hordak for the sake of evil, Shadow Weaver is an abusive monster. However, Shadow Weaver’s pre-Horde flashback sequence is strangely fascinating. Beyond that, it also gives us a few hopeful questions and theories.

Namely, where’s Shadow Weaver’s former apprentice, Micah? And where are the other magic wielders and spinners? We know Micah survived Light Spinner’s transformation into Shadow Weaver, but we haven’t seen him yet in the current timeline. Given the ominous cliffhanger of Shadow Weaver looming over Adora’s bed, we have a feeling the princesses will need to team up with Micah and any surviving spellcasters to stop Shadow Weaver.

Despite our lingering questions and budding fan theories on how the spellcasters could team up with the princesses, Shadow Weaver’s flashbacks give us some context into how she became so menacingly evil, and it might not have happened of her own volition. Sure, she conjured up the forbidden power spell that gave her the dark power.

She still had a drastic shift from her former aspirations of using the spell to take down the Horde and her post-power spell goals of joining the Horde. If there’s a spell that can corrupt a person into joining a nefarious organization like the Horde, then maybe there’s also a spell that could help the princesses counteract evil.

Since the spell is the source of her evil overtones, perhaps the spell can be broken so that Shadow Weaver can go back to being Light Spinner and resume her quest to take down the Evil Horde.
