Swift Wind and She-Ra

Our fur babies and scaley companions are getting tired of us. If they could disown us, they probably would, because we keep booping their heads with non-magical plastic sporks in hopes that they’ll transform into a more mythical version of themselves like Swift Wind. After all, we just want the best for our animal children, especially after watching Swift Wind and She-Ra develop a sacred bond.

Last season, we watched Swift Wind grow into a vocal animal rights activist. Now, we got to see him try to bond with a somewhat apathetic Adora, and it made for some adorable character dynamics in the early episodes of season 2. In a show about friendship and interpersonal dynamics, Swift Wind and Adora’s growing friendship and sacred bond wasn’t just a highlight in Adora’s path to becoming the best warrior princess. It also helped her work on her mental health a bit.

Adora has struggled with imposter syndrome, which manifests in her perfectionistic tendencies and her overwhelming doubts over herself and her plans. It’s a small feat, but creating an effortless bond with Swift Wind shows that she’s doing something right. Plus, seeing her and Swift Wind just have fun in a field is a nice break from all the missions and Horde-related dread.
