Harry Potter and the Avengers: How does time travel work in both of these series?

Time travel in both the Harry Potter series and the new Avengers movie both have their complications and it is going to be interesting to see how they both bring time travel into their own worlds.

If you’ve seen both Avengers: Endgame and Harry Potter and the Cursed Child you know that they’re not that different in terms of time travel. Both take our favorite characters back through their lives to try and fix something that happened.

For Albus and Scorpius, it is because of a lie. For the Avengers, it is because they want to stop Thanos in whatever way they can. So, how do these two relate to each other? Basically, the confusion that many fans have leaving both of these productions.

How can Albus and Scorpius go back with Harry and the rest of their parents and not mess something up? Harry Potter had to watch a significant part of his history unfold before his eyes and couldn’t do anything to stop it and yet we just have to accept that there were no ramifications from that?

Same with Avengers: Endgame. There were no consequences throughout all of time from these actions? It’d be interesting for both of these series to examine this and see what happened because of this time travel, see if something along the line changed because of what they went back in time to do.

But also maybe this power shouldn’t belong to anyone because it just results in a mess of things. Doctor Who taught us that.

Next. Dumbledore and Grindelwald and their ‘passionate’ relationship needs context. dark
