We finally got some dragon-on-dragon combat

We’ve been waiting for this for what feels like forever, even though Viserion only dies at the end of season 7. But blue fire is quite powerful, enough to knock Daenerys out temporarily. That leaves Jon to protect Winterfell.

You’d think two lizards fighting wouldn’t be that interesting, but they go at it, clawing and biting, and Jon unseats the Night King before losing his own seat. However, Daenerys returns in time to set the Night King on fire with a dracarys.

It does not take, and the Night King finally has a facial expression: smirking. It also dumps him on the ground conveniently by a bunch of corpses, whom he promptly resurrects.
