The feeling that Harry Potter still has with the generation that grew up with it
When it comes to Harry Potter, many of us have very specific feelings about the series and that’s why we’re so protective over these characters and this storyline.
The Harry Potter generation is filled with kids who knew what this series meant to us and it continues to be one of our favorites. Whether it is because of the friendships, the drama, or the actual story of heroism between Harry and everyone in the series, we just love to revisit it and learn as much as we can about it.
So why do we still talk about it now? Because we grew up with it. It’s like a part of our collective history. For so many of us, it was the first thing that was exclusively ours. We didn’t have to share them with fans from other series, we didn’t have to pretend as if we didn’t know something and had to have it taught to us.
It was ours. So we tend to love it more because it is our Star Wars or superheroes. This is something we’ve been with from the very beginning and it doesn’t have to be taught to us like we don’t know anything. Maybe that’s why it’s so special still, why we tend to laugh and reminisce on it because we know everything there is to about the series.
Harry Potter will always be ours and he will always be the character we come back to, even when we’re older and have seemingly grown out of it.
