Natasha Romanoff

Want to be mad about Natasha Romanoff? Well, get ready! For the first time since Captain America: The Winter Soldier, we finally saw a Natasha that was the one we loved from the comics. She was dedicated to bringing back their friends, an amazing fighter, and someone who understood the stakes of everything going on.

So what sucks is that she dies for the Soul Stone, never knowing whether or not her friends succeeded. Clint and Natasha both fight over who should die for the stone, nearly killing themselves in the process but, in the end, Clint survives over Natasha and she falls to the pit on Vormir.

It isn’t that she doesn’t have a great storyline. Natasha does, especially in this movie. It’s that she still doesn’t have the same kind of screentime and exploration as the other Avengers. We’re getting a Black Widow movie now but we know the outcome. We know that it results in Natasha making the ultimate sacrifice for all her friends.

When the other Avengers learn of her sacrifice, Tony asks if Natasha had any family. Steve responds they were her family, which reminds everyone  that Natasha would have done anything to reverse the Snap. She owed it to those she loved most in this world — but trust us, we’re not okay with this loss. Not one bit.
