Thor

Thor’s storyline in Avengers: Endgame is interesting, to say the least. Lost in his grief from everything that happened in Avengers: Infinity War, Thor ends up moving to New Asgard and loses himself in alcohol. To use Bruce Banner’s description of him, he looks like “melted ice cream” and gains weight because of his depression.

The movie pokes fun at his weight gain and depression, which is completely wrong. Thor is suffering and no one seems to take it seriously but at least we get a beautiful moment between Thor and Frigga back on Asgard to give him a bit of his storyline. Something we didn’t expect was for Thor to get back Mjölnir, bring it to the future, all to see Captain America be able to wield it.

In the end, we see Thor hop on Star-Lord’s spaceship, ready to hang out with the Asgardians of the Galaxy (we see what you did there, Thor), and explore space with Quill, Groot, Rocket, Drax, and Mantis. Who knows if we will see him in Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 3 or another Thor movie? At least we know that he has a wonderful new weapon and is starting to work towards fixing himself, even if he is right back into competition with Quill over who is in charge.
