Hopper’s daughter is Eleven

It isn’t exactly a new or innovative theory, but it is fun to think about Jane being Hopper’s real daughter. Hopper lost his daughter to cancer when she was young and adopt Eleven to care for her in season 2.

The two live together in the woods and have a rough go of it, often fighting with each other until Eleven eventually ran away. But their relationship is one that fans seemed to cling to in season 2, so could season 3 reveal that there’s a deeper meaning to Hopper’s connection to her?

With his daughter gone and his wife out of the picture, Eleven being adopted by Jim Hopper just seems to be the easy solution, but we don’t know that Hopper’s daughter wasn’t part of the Hawkins lab.

Could we put it past Papa to take someone’s daughter and use her as an experiment? Could everything we have learned about Eleven been a lie to keep Hopper from finding out that she’s actually his daughter? It isn’t exactly unheard of, and Stranger Things is known for its twists and turns. Just maybe we will find out that Hopper’s tragic past has a little bit of a happier ending, even if this news will probably fuel his anger.

At least we can look forward to Hopper and Eleven growing their father-daughter relationship in season 3!
