The world of witches and wizards: How does the Harry Potter series differ from others?

We know that there is plenty of lore and information on witches and wizards out there but how do those compare to the Harry Potter series and what we know about it?

There is a lot of lore about witches and wizards out there and the Harry Potter series brought a new look of them to life. No longer were they long-nailed witches, hiding in their cabins. Instead, they were a school of magical beings all learning how to master the art of witchcraft and wizardry.

We all wanted to go to Hogwarts and be witches and wizards too. Maybe it is because when you learn about witches, many are taught of how they were burned for their supposed crimes. In our mythology, they’re usually the ones who bring destruction to our heroes.

So for a wizard to be the hero? It was a wonderful new trend. We wanted to be like Harry Potter. If we could use magic, we’d use it for good just like Harry and his friends did. We would be able to see what he could do and want to shine just like the Boy Who Lived.

But, looking at the lore in general, how does Harry Potter fit in? It is basically a different look at a world that seemed so far away from all of us while also being a part of their own ‘wizarding’ world. Looking at the Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them series, we can see they still had their struggles but it can also stand separate.
