Star Wars and theme park fans have been anxiously waiting for Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge to open, and it’s almost time at Disneyland!

When Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opens May 31 at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, guests are sure to flood into Disneyland Park for a peak of the new land. To get in, though, you’re going to need a no-cost reservation for May 31 through June 23.

Guests who are staying at one of the three Disneyland Resort hotels, the Disneyland Hotel, Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel and Spa, or Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel will automatically be given a reservation to enter Galaxy’s Edge. The reservation time and date will be subject to availability. Staying at a Disneyland Resort hotel is the only way to guarantee you will be entering Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge for the first few weeks of opening.

For those staying at a good neighbor resort, another off-property hotel, or will be driving themselves to Disneyland for Galaxy’s Edge, they will need to make the reservation themselves through the Disneyland website. Details on how to make the no-cost reservations will be available on the Disney Parks Blog and Disneyland.com starting May 2 at 8 a.m. PST. Be sure to have a Disney account to register for the reservation before it officially opens at 10 a.m. PST.

It looks like Disney is allowing only a certain amount of people into the land at one time and will have scheduled time blocks for guests to enter and exit. This will definitely help with crowd flow, and allow new guests to enter the land at their specified time. It may even help control long lines for rides as well.
