Ser (Dame?) Brienne of Tarth, everyone!

She has deserved this for several seasons at this point, but Jaime, as part of his I’m a Better Person Tour, has officially made Brienne a knight. There’s a lot of tension in every conversation they’ve had, including the looks they exchange, but this is one of the most meaningful things he’s ever done for her. That’s saying something, considering that he once gave her a Valyrian steel sword. For all that she protests, she didn’t want to be a ser, but we’ve known from the start that this was something she wanted to be and couldn’t.

But Jaime’s right: he’s a knight, and he can make a knight. He recites the invocations of the Warrior, the Father, and the Mother, and he tells her to stand. Everyone else in the room claps for her, even if Tyrion calls her a ser. That big, teary smile she has is worth it.

(Never mind Tormund basically trying to outclass Jaime, by the way.)
