The Droid Depot
Everyone in the Star Wars universe seems to be followed around by a lovable droid. Look at Rey and BB-8, or Luke Skywalker and R2-D2. Guests visiting Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge can build their own droid to control around Black Spire Outpost.
The Droid Depot inside Galaxy’s Edge is owned by Mubo, a tech-savvy guy who likes to share his knowledge of droids and how they operate with others. Just like with the lightsaber experience, you’ll be guided through building a droid with the very capable hands of shop workers who have helped countless other guests before you.
Guests who want to participate in the experience will choose new droid parts from a conveyor belt, then take them to a building station. Visitors can choose to work on an R-series or BB-series droid, all of which stand about 12 inches tall. Once built, you’ll put your droid on an activation station where it will begin to light and make noises.
Each droid is operated via remote control and can interact with other droids about Black Spire Outpost! Be sure to watch where you control your droids. You wouldn’t want anyone from the First Order to pick them up.
If you’re looking for something a little quicker, there will be pre-made droids for sale inside Savi’s Workshop for purchase.
