Build your own lightsaber

Guests will be immersed in their own Star Wars story inside Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. And as part of that story, visitors to Black Spire Outpost will be able to build their own lightsaber as part of an interactive merchandise experience.

Since Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is set after the time frame of The Last Jedi, people aren’t too keen to share their allegiance with the Jedi. Inside Black Spire Outpost, shop owner Savi is still a Jedi-enthusiast. Savi’s Workshop is the place where guests can go to build their own lightsaber.

Once inside the store, guests will see the scraps of old lightsabers and relics of the Jedi past. Shop gatherers guide visitors into creating their own lightsaber and keeping the hope of the Jedi alive.

As part of the guided experience, guests will be able to pick their own story to go along with your lightsaber. Jedi-inspired pieces evoke peace and justice, while Sith-inspired pieces indicate power and control.

Depending on which story you choose, that will determine the set of lightsaber pieces you get. Then guests will get to pick their kyber crystal — from purple, green, blue or red. Only fourteen guests can take part in this experience at one time. If this is a must while you’re on Batuu, be sure to get to Savi’s Workshop right when it opens so you don’t have to wait in line. Take your lightsaber with you on your journeys to protect you and the alliance you fight for.
