Ronto Roasters

Any good outdoor market needs a place where meat is openly roasted on a spit. In the Black Spire Outpost story, Ronto Roasters is owned by podracing fan Bakkar. The eatery is run with help from his droid 8D-J8. If you look around the shop, it’s decorated with podracing flags and memorabilia.

All of the ronto meat (ronto is a creature from Tatooine) is roasted inside a modified podracing engine. From the concept art, it doesn’t look like there are any tables around for guests to eat — which makes sense because all of the meals served at Ronto Roasters are meant to be handheld and walked around Batuu with.

The menu at Ronto Roasters is limited, but should please most anyone. The signature dish is the Ronto Wrap, which is filled with pork and Portuguese sausage, then topped with slaw and a spicy clutch sauce. For snacks, guests can find sweet teriyaki turkey jerky and spicy herb turkey jerky. There are three options for drinks: a Sour Sarlacc, Tatooine Sunset, or Meiloorun Juice, all of which are non-alcoholic.

The Tatooine Sunset is a Star Wars take on an Arnold Palmer. Sour Sarlacc is filled with fruit flavors with a strong raspberry taste. The Meiloorun Juice is going to be pretty popular since the meiloorun is a fruit based in the Star Wars canon.

Guests are going to be posting all of these items on Instagram soon. Especially the drinks since they are bright vibrant colors that scream for a post to show you conquered Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.

Outpost Mix

Traveling lightyears away from Earth to get to the galaxy’s edge can make just about anyone hungry. Luckily, Black Spire Outpost has a snacking solution for weary guests and travelers. Outpost Mix is going to be the signature snack of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, and it sounds delicious in every form of the word.

Kat Saka’s Kettle is one of the small vendor stalls on Batuu. As a local farmer, Kat Saka harvests different kinds of grains, which is where the popcorn being served comes from. One of her other favorite pastimes is to travel around the galaxy to collect and bring back different spices to use in her dishes. This is where Outpost Mix comes from. It’s a sweet and salty popcorn mix that has purple and dark red spices blended into it.

Outpost Mix would be the perfect snack to get before entering the line for Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run. From past opening days, lines can get up to or over six hours long! Having a snack to keep growling stomachs and anger away is a key to success at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge.

The crunchy snack would also be a great thing to bring back to Earth once you’re done visiting Black Spire Outpost. Outpost Mix would remind you of your time there and be something to snack on while in the car traveling back home.

We’re sure we’ll be seeing this snack all over Instagram once Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opens.

Oga’s Cantina

Oga’s Cantina is the bar inside Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and is owned by Oga Garra, who just so happens to be Black Spire’s crime boss. Oga is not someone you want to cross. She has her hands in everything in the village.

Inside Oga’s Cantina, there are small alcoves allowing guests to sit and rest while having a few drinks. The whole bar is similar to the Mos Eisley cantina. At the center of the main bar, there are giant tubes and tanks that hang from the top of the building. Also inside is former Star Tours pilot R-3X, who is now the cantina’s DJ. R-3X will be spinning some of the best hits from around the galaxy.

The cantina will serve some light bar snacks, but what you’re really going to want to go in there for is the drinks. From what we know there will be three snacks available, a cantina bar mix, Rodian Ration and Oga’s Obsession. The bar mix is going to feature different shaped salty and sweet snacks mixed together for a sort of trail mix feel. We haven’t heard much about the Rodian Ration, but if it’s like any of the other food inside Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge it’s sure to be good.

If you only get one snack inside Oga’s Cantina, be sure to get the Oga’s Obsession. The out of this galaxy snack is a gelatin-based treat that’s served in a Petri dish. The whole thing topped off with popping pearls, fruits, and pop rocks candy.
